The Department of Social Affairs (SAS) is a central service that belongs to the Vice-Rectorship of Student Support and University Extension of the University of Salamanca. It aims at addressing the needs of information, guidance and support that members of the university community may require.
Under a single management system and with the support of a management specialist, the SAS is structured in: Units of Social Support, Disability, Psychological and Psychiatric Care and the Office of Cooperation, Parti:cenzura:tion and Volunteering.
Regarding Volunteering and Cooperation, the Social Affairs Department promotes and disseminates solidarity initiatives among members of the university community, searches for information and informs users on the possibilities of involvement in projects and volunteer activities. Training, support and monitoring are provided and the conditions needed to parti:cenzura:te in the university solidarity projects carried out are assured.
The Department holds cooperation agreements on parti:cenzura:tion and volunteering with more than 40 social organizations in the area.
Tasks
The role that volunteers play in the project is diverse:
– Promotion of open volunteering programs
– Attention to new volunteers
– Revitalisation of training workshops
– Design of activities aimed at youth empowerment
– Parti:cenzura:tion in the activities for intergenerational relations
– Accompaniment of students with disabilities
– Support for children with learning difficulties
– Development of projects of environmental and social awareness and health promotion
They will be invited to parti:cenzura:te in planning and assessment meetings concerning the various activities and in those dealing with volunteering recognition and encounters. Within the existing possibilities, information and access to courses and seminars of their interest will be provided, whether they are organized by the Department of Social Affairs, by other University departments or by other partners.

Procedure
The motivation letter and the CV (Europass) to sve.sas@usal.es and natalia@bonafides.pl Subsequently, the selected candidates will be interviewed via Skype to check the assessed aspects. We communicate the results over the 10th of April.

PROJECT 1
Receiving organization: l’Escale

Profile of volunteer:
- Be more than 18,less than 30
-Show high interest to work with young people: students, workers, young people with social or professional difficulties, with disabilities…
-Be flexible, punctual, motivated, autonomous4
-Have driving license and to be able to drive in France
Activities: The volunteers will work mainly with the team of socio-educational workers in 2 blocks of flats for young people (RHJ). To lead actions to boost the collective life in the 2 RHJ: implementation of cultural, sports, leisure, culinary, citizens and intercultural activities; support of young people in their projects, parti:cenzura:tion in the community garden with the young people. To manage the administrative tasks related to the animation: budget form, date capture on the software Bredea… To develop the communication around the activities: creation of posters, flyers, slides for the dynamic screens, newsletters, update of the Facebook profile… To parti:cenzura:te in the everyday life of RHJ: welcome of the new residents, visits… To parti:cenzura:te occasionally in the community grocery.
The volunteers will also have the possibility of setting up a personal project in connection with the socio-educational project of the Stopover.
Timetable: The missions will take place essentially in the afternoon, in the evening and the weekend. Schedules are very flexible. The volunteers will work 30 hours a week among which two evenings until 22 hours. According to the activities, they can also be brought to work the weekend. In this case, the rest days will be taken next week.

Project 2
EVS in CSC Grand Nord

Number of volunteers: 1
Profile of volunteer:
-Be more than 18, less than 30
-Have basic computer skills
-Be able to work in team Show high interest to work with adults and sometimes with adults who have some social difficulties
-Have basic knowledge in French Be flexible, punctual, motivated, autonomous
Activities: The volunteer will work on the Network of Mutual Exchanges of Knowledge (RERS).
The principle of the RERS is « I know: I offer my knowledge, I don’t know: I ask knowledge ». It is a service accessible to every person interested about it, whatever its age, its social, professional or cultural origin. The principle is to exchange its knowledge and to learn those from the others without financial counterpart. The network works in opened reciprocity, that is it is possible to receive knowledge of another person than the one to whom we look.
Another part of the time, the volunteer will work in families department.
The tasks of the volunteer will be the following ones:
1. Parti:cenzura:te in the animation of the network with the team (47%):
– To follow the offers and the demands,
– To organize the exchanges,
– To communicate on the activities of the network, welcome the public …
2. Parti:cenzura:te to the daily life in the CSC (10%):
– To help to prepare and to organize the events for Christmas for example
3. Help to look for ideas and to organize outings and holidays: “Families department” (20%)
4. Personal project (4%)
5. Training (18%):
– Parti:cenzura:te in the RERS: the volunteer can propose knowledge and receive from it

Project title: History Tellers, walk with real stories
Place: Madera Island, Portugal
Proposed activities:
The Student Union of the University of Madeira (AAUMa) annually develops various projects. The role of EVS volunteers is to support and create new projects for AAUMa considering the various target groups: children, youth, adults and the elderly. The projects in which volunteers will be encouraged to parti:cenzura:te and support are:
– Jesuits College of Funchal – parti:cenzura:te in daily activities undertaken by collaborators of AAUMa at the Jesuit College. These activities involve support in daily guided tours to areas of the College, supporting the conservation of the building, supporting interaction with foreign visitors, support and organization of musical events. It is a historical project with guided tours, assistance activities to the tourists and history investigation.
- Armazem do Mercado – daily guided tours around old town Funchal,supporting interaction with foreign visitors always with mentor assistance
In terms of service and learning opportunity, in both areas, the volunteers will be able to learn through experimentation in all activities where they will be involved. With its active parti:cenzura:tion in the projects of AAUMa, volunteers will be able to understand the relationship between the Student Union and Madeira Island.
Volunteers will also learn about planning, preparation and implementation of activities proposed by AAUMa, about how to evaluate the results of the activities and how to deal with people in an ultra-peripheral region. In addition, volunteers will gain a unique experience in working in a youth association and will collaborate in daily activities that will be very important for the development of associative work.
Volunteers will be constantly encouraged to contribute with their experience with new ideas and new methodologies in stimulating activities, following a perspective of sharing and exchanging developing creativity and initiative. Volunteers will have the opportunity to learn about themselves and about their own abilities and preferences.
The volunteer will develop daily voluntary activities requested by the tutor and the mentor. The volunteer will also learn the Portuguese language through classes that will be included in the weekly schedule of the volunteer. These activities will be carried out from Monday to Friday, between 10 am to 13:30 pm and 2:30 pm to 6 pm. The number of hours worked by the volunteer is 35 hours per week. The volunteer will rest on Saturday and Sunday. Most of the activities of the volunteers will be held at the University of Madeira and the Jesuit College of Funchal.



W ramach wolontariatu wolontariusz ma pokrywane zakwaterowanie, kieszonkowe, pieniądze na wyżywienie i częsciowo dofinansowaną podróż do kraju goszczącego i z powrotem przez Komisję Europejską.
